Economy-x-Talk combines consultancy and software development. We have economic expertise and a long experience with custom software solutions. Besides projects for our clients, we also develop software for the public. A number of our products is presented elsewhere on this web site.
Scripts
If you are a software developer, we gladly help you to finish your project in time. Ask us to build one or more components of your software and release them as yours. Developer support
A software developer came to us with a request to help him out. "I am using this cross-platform development tool", he told us, "but whenever I do something that works in Windows, I find out that it doesn't work on the Macintosh and the other way around! What should I do?" We made an analysis of the tasks this developer needed to have performed. Next, we created a library of 100% bug-free scripts and platform-specific code. We added extensive and clear documentation to make sure that everyone involved in the project could use the code. The code was integrated in the project and the software was finished in time.

Web Sites and Multimedia
You want to have an internet identity, too. For a long time, you have been thinking about creating a web site, and although it looks so simple to do, you never found the (right) time to look into it. Data Conversion
We have many years experience with data conversion. From one database to the next, or to two different databases if you like.
Database Transition
A former user of HyperCard wished to transfer her data to FileMaker. She encountered two problems. First, the files had become unaccessible. Each time when she opened the files, HyperCard crashed. Second, the files could not readily be imported into FileMaker, because part of header information was lost after the conversion. Because the files were almost 1 gigabyte in total, e-mailing or otherwise transfering all data was not an option for this client. Our solution to the first problem was to create a little utility to repair the HyperCard files. With this utility, we were able to work on-site without leaving our own office. Once this problem was solved, the client used DIFfersifier to do the conversion. She is now happily using her data with FileMaker for Windows.

A specialty of ours is that we combine our programming skills with economics and statistics. We know how to process data, how to make sense of them, and how to present the results in a convincing way.

We can work for you, but much more we would like to work with you. We tell you how we do the job and how you can do it yourself. We develop tools that let you update your web site once we have designed it. You can re-use the scripts that we make for you and ask us to modify them whenever necessary.
